In 1991 EZ Dock engineers set out to create a floating dock system that would combine the stable rigidity of a fixed crib dock with the dynamic flexibility of a modular floating dock. The resulting patented system would forever change what floating dock buyers previously thought was possible for their waterfront.

Before the emergence of EZ Dock, floating dock systems were comparatively flimsy, unstable, and vulnerable to the potentially damaging elements of water fluctuation and wake.

If you have investigated floating dock systems in the past, you may have been dissuaded by instability, durability, construction, or strength – But, Not with an EZ Dock!

What Makes EZ Dock Different than other Floating Dock Systems?

Superior Strength

The strength of an EZ Dock comes from the layered Polyethylene construction. The roto-mould process continually sprays a resin composition inside the mould cavity while the dock is rotated in a 360-degree motion, creating evenly distributed layers that produce an average wall thickness of ⅜”. It’s this inside-out layering process that makes EZ Docks the strongest modular floating dock on the market, producing a puncture resistance level of 1,950 PSI. Pound for pound, no floating dock can resist more torque tension or support more weight per square foot than an EZ Dock.

Unmatched Stability

The Pylon Chamber design of an EZ Dock is the key to its ability to maintain a secure connection to the water surface. The individual Chambers create air pockets between the water surface and the underside of the dock, keeping the dock situated less than two inches beneath the surface. The powerful suction created by the air acting upon the water is called – Hydrostatic Surface Tension – which constantly pulls the dock into the water as opposed to other floating docks that simply float atop it. EZ Docks use this scientific principle to move with fluctuating levels and chop while maintaining superior adhesion to the surface.

Scalability

One of the unique attributes of an EZ Dock system is the modular scalability. Manufactured in varying standard sizes, EZ Docks can be easily configured to achieve an endless array of platform layouts adapting to any waterfront requirement. There is no need to agonize over the configuration of your EZ Dock system because you can disconnect and reposition the sections in minutes to create a completely new platform. The scalable nature of EZ Docks gives you the freedom to add sections or any one of the hundreds of accessories to your dock setup at any time.

Durability

In the past, dock buyers worried about how floating docks would perform during inclement conditions and, whether or not they would last as long as a typical fixed crib dock. EZ Docks boast industry-leading durability, in fact, we still service customers’ docks (seasonal removals & re-installs) that were originally installed as far back as 2001; and they are still floating and performing just as they did the day they were installed. In fact, EZ Dock sought out Cambridge Labs in Mississauga (a scientific research company) to officially test the durable lifespan of an EZ Dock. Their tests mimicked the typical catalysts that contribute to the breakdown of plastic (polyethylene) over time. Their findings revealed that the structure and composition of EZ Docks remained intact and unchanged (no breakdown occurred) in simulations up to 40 years – at which point they ceased their testing. In fact, they estimated – based on the experiments – that the realistic lifespan of an EZ Dock could comfortably reach 100 years without suffering disintegration or breakdown.
